Should I convert to liter when solving for the ideal gas equation?

I think that before you plug your V into the ideal gas law, you would need to convert it from mL to L. The reason is that your value of R dictates the units you use for everything else. If you are using R = 0.0821 Latm/molK, then your V has to be in L.
