Can you name any 'clics' that covered original topics at time of publication?

Not sure if what I'm saying is what you meant- but 'Pride and Prejudice' apparently was the very first book covering the idea of a man ignoring the woman he loves to get her attention, although the idea is pretty cliched now. Also 'Emma' was, before the book, a boy's name, but since the main character in the book is a female called 'Emma' a whole new generation of people began to name their daughters Emma.
