Gambling attendant demeanor?

I have played many places from the river boats on the Mississippi to the casinos in Nevada, and the dealers are all different. There is no uniform way to do it. One guy would actually kinda help and cheer us on in Reno just a few months ago and another lady would be really cool while we were playing, asking us where we were from and how we were doing. Pleasantries. Just be cool, which it sounds like you got a handle on already :)
