I just had a test called a barium swallow and now I am constipated.?

My lower abdomen is quite sore and my bowels are moving so slow I cant eat as it wants to come back up. I took a laxative 5 hr ago. It relieved some pain but no movement. Has anyone had a barium swallow and how long does it take to clear out ?
