How long does it take to get pregnant again?

After 7 weeks pregnant I had a miscarriage. My husband works out of state and see him only 5 days out of the month so we really planned it out by the date when we could conceive. I had my miscarriage on the 9Th and I'm still bleeding pretty heavy so I realize we cant try right now. It took us a year of trying but before that my depo shot was wearing off. I am 35 and really don't want to wait another year and plus the whole miscarriage really took me by surprise and hurt so badly. I didn't have to have a DNC but I will have to see my obgyn next week to make sure everything ped like it should. My husband and I devastated but do want to try again, question is when and how long usually does it take to become pregnant again? Thank you!!
